The Best of the Decade - #6

Wall-E (2008)
Directed by: Andrew Stanton

Wall-E is a great film. It is also a testament of Pixar's decade long consistency. Movies like Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatoullie and Up are all worthy of mention within the pantheon of great films of the last ten years. Wall-E is Pixar's best. It has so many elements to appease both child and adult audiences and it surrounds some serious and relevant themes. Wall-E himself could go down as one of the best created characters of the decade, the visuals and sound design are amazing but above all, Wall-E is a movie that I can watch over and over again and always enjoy. Its important but its not preachy. It's the sixth best film of the decade and it represents a studio's full commitment to quality.
