This is perhaps one of the top action movies I've ever seen. Full on action sequences paired with a complex but extremely detailed and structured storyline are what make The Dark Knight the tenth best film of the decade. I can't think of a movie I went into with higher expectations and to say that it did not disappoint is probably the best compliment I can give. To mention this film without mentioning Heath Ledger is a worse crime than any of the many he commits in the film. Its truly a benchmark performance for future villains but the way Ledger plays off of Bale and everyone and everything that's going on is masterful. While The Dark Knight may be an obvious pick, its a deserving one.
